Meet the Pack

The sitters at No Place Like Home are trustworthy, compassionate, energetic animal enthusiasts dedicated to pet care and committed to client service. Our top priorities are your pets’ comfort and safety, the security of your home and providing you peace of mind when you can’t be home.

When you return home from a quick trip out of town, a long vacation or just another day at work, we want you to be greeted by wagging tails and purrs of contentment in a clean home. We will always make sure to leave your home as clean as when we got there. No Place Like Home embraces the same belief that sent you searching for a pet sitter; pets are more than just animals, they are forever family! If at any time you find a task not done to your specifications, please notify us so that we may complete it to your satisfaction next time. We encourage client feedback as it helps us provide the absolute best care possible for your pets, which is exactly what they deserve!

Jenna Bean RVT, Owner In 2002, while working as a vet assistant at a local animal clinic, someone asked me if I would be interested in watching their pet while they were out of town. Being the struggling college student I was I said, of course! At the time, I was at Fresno State studying to be a teacher and had no plans to continue working with animals long term.  After 2 1/2 years in the veterinary field and a year of pet sitting on the side, I realized there was no reason to continue the path toward becoming a teacher; I clearly preferred the company of animals.  Ten years and a lot of word of mouth referrals, meant a growing client base and a significant need for help. So in Feb 2012 I left my day job altogether and expanded No Place Like Home in order to meet the needs of our human and pet clients.  I am so grateful to be able to make a living doing something I truly love; life would be so boring without our animal companions!  When hiring contracted sitters I always look for someone that I feel comfortable watching my own pack; and it’s a big pack! With 4 cats, 4 pups, a bunny, and perhaps a stray or two in need of a home, taking care of my kids is no cake walk so I am very particular about their care.  You can be assured that we take your kids’ care just as seriously as we do our own.

Hi, my name is Ellen; I am a senior at Fresno State and work at an elementary school.  This is my first time having a job as a pet sitter.   (Ellen has been with NPLH since July 2012) I am a proud pet parent of three amazing dogs, Star (German short-hair pointer), Gus (cocker spaniel and poodle mix), and Frosty (toy poodle).  Sadly, while we are renting a house, they live with my parents; so I am excited to have the opportunity to take care of peoples’ pets since I don’t get to see mine every day.   When I am not working or studying I enjoy hiking, camping, and fishing.

Hi, my name is Ashley and I have been with NPLH since 2012. I work full time as a veterinary assistant at a low cost clinic in Fresno. Working with animals is a passion I’ve had since I was a little girl and I am so happy I get to do what I love everyday!  In home pet care gives me the opportunity to give care to pets but also have a little bit more fun with them.  I can assure all my clients that they will be provided with the best service possible and their pets will be treated as if they were my own.

Hello, my name is Carla. I was born and raised in Fresno. I have received an Associate of the Arts degree from Fresno City College and I am currently pursuing my Bachelor’s degree in the area of Psychology at Fresno State. I have fostered animals that were too young and had lost their mothers for many years. I have also worked and volunteered at animal shelters since I was very young. I have three amazing cats that I share my home with, Straggler, Kira, and Trouble, and all of them were rescued and have had special health needs at one time in their lives. I also have a dog named Lilly that lives with my mother since I live an apartment for school. I love working with animals and I am always delighted to meet and get to spend time with new animals!

My name is Brianna, I also go by BB, a nickname I got in fourth grade that has stuck around since!  🙂 I am 23 years old and have grown up with animals all my life.  I’ve had dogs, cats, goats, bunnies, fish, snakes, and horses.  When I was in high school I participated in 4-H and FFA, raised bunnies and goats, as well as showing my horse.  I still have one dog ( a doxy mix named Toffy) and I also have two horses (Strike and Uh-Oh). I love animals and can’t imagine not having them around!

Hi! My name is Bryanna. I’m a college student, rescue volunteer and life-long animal lover. I’ve had pets my entire life; everything from dogs and cats to reptiles and rodents and I love them all! At the moment I have 5 dogs, a bunch of mutts and they are all my babies. Taking care of animals is what makes me happy and I love meeting new pets and their people!

Hi, my name is Brionna Bell.  I have been working with animals since 2007 as a pet care specialist in a Pet Hotel. In 2013 I started school to become a veterinary technician. I graduated in January of 2014 and have been working in practice ever since. I currently work at Hoof n Paw vet in Oakhurst.  I am a proud pet parent to 3 fur babies Freckles, Hunny and BabyBel who were all rescues. I look forward to meeting you and taking the best care of your furr children.

Echo is attending California State University, Fresno as a Pre-Veterinary Sciences major, and will be attending SJVC to obtain her Vet Tech License next year.  She has grown up around all sorts of animals, including both large and small domestics, and small exotics.  She volunteered at Nine Lives Cat Shelter in the Bay Area and was lead of the socialization unit, in addition to working closely with the Veterinarian who worked with the shelter.  Echo also volunteered at the Swine Unit on the Fresno State campus and worked with Fetch! Co. (pet sitting) while living in the Bay area.  She currently has four cats and three pups, and plans on getting a horse or two within the next couple of year.
